I just finished watching a tremendous video on YouTube from the writers of Astrotheology and Shamanism. The book, as well as the video, provides a very solid thesis for the magic mushroom foundations and symbolism that ultimately permeate the whole of Catholicism. I don’t necessarily believe the authors notion that Christ may not have existed at all, but the rather lengthy breakdown of the various symbolism, meanings, and biblical verses is quite an interesting journey to partake in and one that I highly recommend you all take the time to enjoy.

The video for part 1 is linked below and then you can find links to the remaining 7 parts at the end of each video (where the video thumbnails pop-up).

The torrential tides of my subconscious
Smashed me upon the brutalized boulders of my Destiny.
Unprepared and unexpected, I drift amiss
Upon the Endless Sea of the Abyss,
40 Day and 40 Nights, an offering of my self to my Self.

The scorpion mocks me
While she tap dances across my bloated, rotting carcass.
Endlessly piercing my vitals with her poisoned tip,
She delights in the writhing agony of my pride
As she effortlessly cleaves flesh from bone.

Aeons of refinement
Cultivating Death’s perfect surgeon.
The Priests and Priestesses of Hades
Beckon from below.

Temptations of the Primal tease at my flesh
As cascading rivers of Luna’s blood
Press upon my mouth and fill up my lungs.

Gasping my last breath,
I rip asunder the scorpion’s shell,
Gorging myself upon her tender flesh,
An offering of her self to her Self.

The Ourobous dances upon my Third Eye
As my lifeless cadaver slips beneath the surface
And descends like a ship’s anchor,
Into the icy-depths of Neptune’s tomb.

Pluto, named after the Grecian God of the Underworld, is the planet of transformation, death, rebirth, and the subconscious forces that rule us from “below the surface”. It is ultimately this underlying, driving force that exerts itself from our personal underworlds that is the reason this planet is associated with endings and new beginnings. For it is the expression of the Soul, from beneath the surface of the Consciousness, that drives the pursuit of spiritual growth and its consequent rebirth. As the Lord of Death, Pluto does not signify the finality of death (for there ultimately is no such thing), but rather he signifies the darkness before rebirth. Just as he dragged Persephone into the Underworld to be his queen for six months of the year, signifying the start of winter and the waning power of the sun, he also signifies the start of the next cycle which begins with the return of Persephone to the upper world in the first blossoms and buds of spring. Neptune is the planet that governs mystery, illusion and the power of the imagination. It represents your dream life and the mystic qualities that started to be revealed with the arrival of Uranus. Anyone with a highly active imagination, hypnotic personality, compassion for others’ suffering or an interest in the occult or psychic phenomenon shows a strong Neptune influence in there life. Neptune is often associated with the watery nature of the subconscious which is an apt metaphor considering it is named after the Roman God Neptune who was considered the God of the Seas. In this metaphor we see one of the easiest ways to understand the influence of Neptune: Neptune can be thought of a great dissolving force, much like how the water tumbling down a mountainside or the waves of the ocean lapping up against land gradually and consistently re-shape the entire look and feel of the earth upon which the water exerts its force. The key to this metaphor: while the water upon the land can be considered a consistent force that causes tremendous change is one that is a decidedly subtle force that is not easily detected without the Wisdom to see it. Uranus is the planet that governs the desire for freedom, independence, originality, and increased aliveness. Being the first of the transpersonal planets means that Uranus is the first planet that connects us with our own Higher Consciousness. The awareness of Uranus’ presence within our lives produces the will to step onto the spiritual/cosmic path. Uranus is the planet that begins the unfolding process of awakening our intuitive insight and psychic awarenesses/phenomena. The awakening of psychic phenomenon unveils a hidden reality to our world and helps drive the need for freedom and independence to explore outside of the safe confines of normal societal expectations. In a way, Uranus can be thought of as the driver to transcend the confines of social convention and outmoded mindsets in order to participate in a consciously co-creative process with the Universe. I was on my way to Airdrie today after a lengthy two-week journey to Vancouver that included stops in Kamloops on the way to/from Vancouver, a stop in Kelowna on the way back, as well as two days in Calgary. During this whole journey I’ve been having some really interesting experiences and conversations, particularly with people who knew me before I jumped onto this “spiritual” journey and people that have only known me as this deeply spiritual person. Well, that may be inaccurate. I was more “in the closet” spiritual before so most of the people who knew me “before” just didn’t know that there was this aspect of myself that I was “hiding” on some level. Continue Reading

So, as most of you who may be reading this know, I am on a two week journey to Vancouver to catch up with some old friends and to pick up the remainder of my stuff from my former relationship. This trip has been a monumentally tremendous journey already, but I wanted to share a particularly magickal experience I had at the start of this trip. Continue Reading

Saturn is at its crux is the planet of responsibility and symbolizes the ethic of hard work. Through its influence a person’s character is strengthened through trial and difficulty. It has often been said that Saturn disciplines us until we can learn to discipline ourselves. Essentially, Saturn is the planet that rules over our existence within the material world because it is the planet that governs the lessons that we have to learn to succeed in our lifetime.
